Summer Kick-Off

Summer is officially here and it is marvelous. MARVELOUS, I TELL YOU. I can't thinking about all the stuff that I want to do!

Yesterday, we celebrated Memorial Day by eating our weight in pizza and dessert at our neighbor's house. Then, we kicked off the beer pong season by playing a TON of games and drinking too much...(it's summer, so it's okay...)

And on a wonderful note, my amazing friend Jen (who I met in France last summer), is in town for the week! We're going to do all the tourist-y stuff and celebrate the summer. Too bad it's not in France. She's currently trying to convince me to go back with her in the Spring semester next year. Seriously debating it, too.

Disbelief

It's hard to believe that a year ago, A YEAR AGO, I was prepping to leave for Pau. Little did I know then, that my summer in France would be the most extraordinary experience...and that it would make such a profound impact on the rest of my life. 

There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about last summer; the people, the sights, the daily walk to and from class, the crepes, the wine, the drunken nights, the sight of the stars coming through window shutters, the rain, the laughter, the cobblestones...

I miss it. I miss it. I miss it. 

My heart is aching right now.
